Satanic are a Canadian, death metal group about to drop their debut album, Architecture of Chaos. Release on October 30th, 2017 via Brutal Records, Architecture of Chaos promises to bring atmosphere, rawness and nerve shattering intensity.

 

Satanic are three guys from Trois-Rivieres in Quebec. We have Martin Carle on the drums, Guillame Petit on guitar and vocals and finally, Izaac Beaudoin on bass and vocals.

Architecture of Chaos has 8 tracks on it and is not much more than 40 minutes long. It deals with topics such as war, worldwide conspiracies and Satanism. Satanic are said to be obsessed with old school metal and their debut is claimed to be the most fervent death metal tunes in the history of the genre. 

 

Architecture of Chaos opens with Mephistophelian which loosely means wicked or fiendish. It is derived from Mephistopheles who was one of the seven chief demons in Medieval Demonology. It is a furiously heavy start with a fast chugging riff before a demonic growl introduces a really infectious riff. The vocals are roared intermittently but the guitars are the lead on this track. The drums lack a little power, production wise, which is a shame but not overly noticeable due to the leading guitar riffs.

Speed riffing is something Satanic do a lot of and do well. World of Chaos has a slower, descending guitar over some sickening, bile inducing growls before launching into a blisteringly fast riff. Armageddon is another good example of it with neck breaking riffage that just gets small interruptions from a bit of rhythm or a bass solo every now and then. Systematic Fear has a riff played so fast and loud, the picking almost blurs into one continuous note.

 

There is a lot of inventiveness and variation though too, especially with intros. Processing the Undead has a more rhythmic start and the drums sound meatier too which is welcome. It has a great riff at the end with horrific vocals that move in sync with the guitar line that I adore. Architecture of Apocalypse also has a slower start with a sweet bass line that is joined by a solid riff which turns into a nice solo. There is another great little solo near the end that turns into a properly infectious head banging riff. Try not to nod your head to this song. It’s impossible.

The whole album has a real old school death metal feel, even in the production and mastering. What there is though is a ton of little modern touches that elevate Architecture of Chaos. The excellent bass lines and solos, the brilliant riffing, the powerful, satanic vocals and the drumming which pounds along at rip roaring pace with immaculate timing. This is proper death metal – it’s hard hitting, eye opening and bloody good to listen to. There is so much aggression, so much speed but it is balanced off with the right amount of groove and rhythm like in the penultimate track, Biotech Warfare.

It sums up Satanic perfectly. The riffing goes from insanely fast to amazingly catchy. The drums pound out an infectious rhythm before going into overdrive. The bass bangs away creating the perfect foundation and the vocals are disturbingly strong. The album ends on a huge sub 9 minute long death metal orgasm called Tchernobyl 86. Like the rest of the album we move through excellent riff after excellent riff. Constantly heavy it moves through different levels of speed. The vocals sound so good here and the drums sound good too. It is such a strong way to finish the album, dropping all the slow downs and just blasting you with 9 minutes of brutality.

 

Architecture of Chaos is a seriously good album. Satanic, and Brutal Records, are on to something big here. The production does feel very old school. While I like that, the drums do get a little lost sometimes so could do with a bit more volume. You can hear how amazing the drum patterns are, let’s just hear them a little louder. A minor issue but it doesn’t detract from what is one of the strongest and heaviest death metal albums you are likely to hear this year.

Check it out, you won’t regret it. Just be warned, you may damage your neck once you get into this.

CADAVER PUTREFACTO, Death Metal band formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the year 2000 by Daniel Martin Ledesma in Guitar and Vocal, and Juan Gomez in drums. After years of inactivity, the band is reformed in 2015 adding Leonel Grismado in the Voices and prepares its first Demo that saw the light on August 29, 2016, showing three themes of pure Death Metal, classic and direct.


At the end of 2016 the band is reduced to two members: Juan Gomez in Guitar, Bass and Scheduled drums; and Leonel Grismado in the heavy and brutal Guttural Voices.

This formation published in July 2017 an EP titled "Macabre Coleccion" which contains two own songs and three covers. This EP is a preview of the debut album of the band that is soon to see the light. The theme of the lyrics, all composed by the perverse mind of Leonel Grismado (Rigor Mortis - Dyspepsia - Trope Noise) covers horror stories, perversions, serial killers and homage to horror.

The musical influences are well marked in bands like Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Decide, Eternal Grave.


La Maldicion del Zombi Errante have truly stepped it up a notch with remarkably catchy hooks and their already recognizable corpse-decaying Death Metal stench soaked throughout the entire album!


"Cadaver Putrefacto" is proof once again that crass-ridden and obscene Argentina Death Metal still is a winning formula and shall eternally reign supreme

Cianjur, 12 September 2017 – Setelah sekian lama tidak merilis karya karena kesibukan dan juga penggarapan album, kali ini dalam rangka akan merilis album penuh, kami telah melepas single terbaru yang dapat diunduh secara bebas, single yang berjudul “Prahara” dipilih sebagai lagu untuk memperkenalkan materi album penuh perdana yang akan rilis dalam waktu dekat, sebelumnya single “Prahara” kami rilis pertama kali di website cianjurmusikcadas.com.

Lirik pada lagu “Prahara” ditulis oleh vokalis kami, Hood Yudistira yang bercerita “Prahara Adalah badai Badai konflik kreasi oknum anak adam yang sengaja diciptakan untuk menjatuhkan secara cepat atau perlahan. Memberontak untuk Tirani yang terprioritaskan kemudian hirarki duniawi yang menggelapkan mata terus dikejar. Prahara bagi kami adalah salah satu ujian dari Tuhan, kenaikan derajat atau pengampunan dosa itulah karunia dari tuhan ketika polemik berhasil dibungkam tanpa merugikan, itulah Kuasa Tuhan. Serangan dari luar yang bertubi dan konflik dari dalam yang sedikit demi sedikit menggerogoti adalah pertanda bahwa kekuatan batin dipertanyakan dan seberapa hinanya kita dengan Maha pengasihnya Tuhan tetap memberkati. Kami berterimakasih pada prahara yang mengintrospeksi karena dengan masalah kami belajar lebih dewasa dan bijaksana ketika mengeksekusi prahara itu sendiri, dan ketika akal sehat berhasil meredam dan menyelesaikannya dari situlah cara pandang dan pola pikir akan semakin tajam.”

Sampai saat single “Prahara” dirilis, kami sudah menyelesaikan sebelas materi berisi materi  baru dan materi lama yang direkam ulang dengan aransemen baru, satu materi instrument, dan dua materi berkolaborasi dengan vokalis berkarakter asal Cianjur yaitu Andini dari Killed By Bestfriend dan Tinu dari Toiletroom serta satu musisi mengisi part Saxophone bernama Fefey.

Konsep musik yang kami mainkan bisa digambarkan Secara musik “kita coba bikin musik yang memiliki komposisi antara progresif dan harmonisnya seimbang, menyatukan massive breakdown dan melodic sweep di tiap bagan nya serta di drum nya lebih dominan memakai blast beat dan part breakdown nya sedkit agak lebih progresif, Konsep departemen aransmen musik kami yang sekarang lebih memperhatikan harmonisasinya jadi tidak cuman fokus mengejar speed saja, dari konsep musik atau lead gitar nadanya juga sudah berbeda dengan konsep yang dulu, sekarang di setiap lagu kita masukan nada-nada majornya jadi terdengar lebih segar perpaduan bernuansa segar dan nada yang gelap, terus konsep vokal juga hood lebih berani dengan vokal cleanya, tidak hanya scream dan growl saja, dari beberapa lagu kita juga berani mencoba memasukan part gitar akustik dan klasik, dari salah satu lagu yang ada di album kami kebetulan berduet dengan vokalis grunge, jadi kita padukan karakter vokal grunge dengan musik metal kita mencoba untuk beda saja, ada juga di lagu salah satu lagu berduet dengan vokalis perempuan yang berkarakter suara vokal yang lembut di padukan dengan musik metal atau musik keras”

Untuk album perdana kami sendiri diberi judul Prahara sama dengan judul single terbaru yang sudah dirilis serta untuk perilisan abum Prahara kami merilis secara mandiri atau bisa disebut self released. Serta untuk pendistribusian nanti kami hanya mengandalkan kerabat dekat, jejaring pertemanan, toko musik online/offline yang bisa diajak kerja sama maupun sosial media.

Hegemony Of God merupakan band asal Cianjur terbentuk sejak akhir desember 2011 memainkan jenis musik Metalcore yang menurut kami sangat berbeda dengan band sejenis lainya, saat pengerjaan proses album Prahara ini, kami  diperkuat oleh Hood Yudistira ( Vokal ), Lucky Avrillia ( Gitar ), Rey Prayoga ( Gitar ), Bintang Alvaro ( Bass ), dam Iam ( Drum).
