True heroes of the punk rock, DIY ethic, Jakarta, Indonesia's MARJINAL making a revolutionary change to world around them, while other bands would only sing about it.
Formed in 1996 in direct opposition to Indonesia's authoritarian government, MARJINAL's brand of raucous street punk with its chaotic live shows found expression off the stage with their Anti Fascist Racist Action network that educated and empowered young people.
These are the values that OBSCENE EXTREME was built upon, and like MARJINAL, the festival has worked with like-minded people all over the world to fulfil its dream.
